Transylvania school of botanic art & illustration was established in 2018 by James & Rachel de Candole,
founding subscribers to the Transylvania Florilegium.
The school is situated in the grounds of their house in Copşa Mare, a farming village in southern Transylvania, Romania.
The village is hidden in the middle of tens of thousands of hectares of old oak, beech & hornbeam forest, mixed with lowland wood pastures exceptionally rich in flora & fauna.
